Using Natural Supplements To Alleviate Joint Pain And Allow Me To Train Harder And Longer
Posted on: September 15, 2011
As I had previously described, my preferences in gymnasiums have evolved over the years. When I first started weight training in my teens I went to the "hole in the wall" type gymnasiums that were spartan at best (i.e. lack of air conditioning, running water, nice equipment, etc.). However, now that I am older and wiser I have a membership at a gymnasium that not only has air conditioning, running water, and nice equipment, but also a considerable selection of cardio equipment, quite a few lines of weight equipment, fitness and aerobics classes, dance and zumba classes, yoga, tanning, tennis courts, swimming pools (indoor and outdoor), racquetball, full facility locker rooms with showers and steam rooms, and childcare.
Of course, I don't use anything but the weight lifting facilities, but it is nice to have the option of using the other amenities. In fact, just about two weeks ago I began playing racquetball. I haven't played since the late ‘70s and early ‘80s when racquetball had gained popularity, but quickly went out of style. Anyway, I really enjoyed playing when I was younger, and since I am already paying for the racquetball in my gym membership anyway, I thought I might as well begin playing again. So, I went to the local sporting goods store and picked out a racquet, which, by the way, have grown tremendously in size, and some balls. The first week I just went into the court by myself to reorient myself with the game, learning the angles, getting my timing and coordination. By the second week I felt I was ready to play a few games. Since I did not have anyone to play with I got in line to play on the challenge court, which was a bad idea. Long story short, I ran around the court chasing the ball like a chicken with its head cut off, while everyone watching got a good laugh. I lost the first game 21 to 5, but I got right back in line and played three more time. I lost every game that night, but by the end I had improved tremendously and lost 21 to 15. All the guys told me to come back and play some more the following night, which made me feel good.
By the time I got home I was already beginning to hurt. My shoulders, neck, and back were all beginning to tighten up. All of that twisting to hit the ball combined with all of the sprinting and stopping had taken a toll on my body. Unfortunately, I had run out of my joint supplements, Joint-Rx and Pain-Rx, a couple of weeks ago, and put off reordering them until two days ago. I took some aspirin and crawled into bed. The next day I was aching like never before, and even contemplated calling in sick to work, but I didn't. As I was walking out the door to go to work the mailman drove up and sauntered up the sidewalk to meet me. He had a priority mail package for me from Hi-Tech-Online-Store.com. My joint supplements had arrived! I immediately turned around and went back into my house, ripped open the box, and gulped down my joint supplements.
Joint-Rx is a natural supplement for joint support and for relief of pain from damaged joints. Joint-Rx is a formulation of natural COX-2 inhibitors (the enzyme involved with the body's inflammatory pathway), as well as other natural ingredients that support joint tissue growth and regeneration, including the glucosamine HCl, chondroitin sulfate, and MSM. You can read all about Joint-Rx here.
Pain-Rx is a natural herbal painkiller. Pain-Rx is a formulation of 10 natural herbs that include quick-acting (immediate-feel), non-steroidal, analgesic (painkillers), and anti-inflammatory compounds to help alleviate pain associated with joint discomfort, as well as pain associated with other causes. You can read all about Pain-Rx here.
Both of these supplements are fantastic and probably work great individually, but I believe that when they are used together they have a synergistic effect that is nothing short of miraculous! To illustrate this point, by the end of the workday I was feeling so good, that I went back to the gym that evening and played four more racquetball games on the challenge court. I lost all four games, but everyone was impressed that I was feeling good enough to come back so quickly. Thank you Joint-Rx and Pain-Rx!
